Strategy, Copy

Angus Grundy

Angus moves from tag-lines to coffee-table books, brochures to web copy, speeches and ads to exhibition spaces—for clients across multiple sectors. Whatever the format, he aims to marry brand viewpoint to audience interest, and content to visual context.

This Englishman moved to Prague in 1996 and never looked back. From a professional writing debut at a ‘Time Out’-style website for Central Europe, to managing the web team at Eurotel (now O2), he began freelancing in 2003.

Angus has a strong track record in translating brand strategy into ‘tone of voice’ guidelines, often following up with the writing itself.

He mixes agency work for big clients—such as Emaar, Dnata, DMCC and DWTC in the Middle East; or Janet, Logica and Three in the UK—with independent clients including Averda, Effortel, Epeus Consulting, Fibrespeed, Ocean Capital, Steljes, and Marmalade.

He loves clients who understand the value of words, the power of process and the nature of craft.
